Things just can’t go right.

So my phone just crapped out on me. Half of the key pad doesn’t work. I’ve got the battery sitting out, letting it “rest” hoping that works. It has before, pray it does now.

But I was just informed that my good friend Justin in Rhinelander is getting married April 10th. I don’t care what it takes - I’m going to be there.

Major update.

I really haven’t had time to write on here lately. I’ve pulled out some major hours at work because Heather’s messed up ankle. It came in at perfect timing though with rent being due on the first.

My laptop died and I got my new computer. Things are working out good. My external died.

Saturday I had a party here, there had to be at least 25 people, over 40 with the coming and going. Best part is everyone else had something going on, so I can’t just be pin pointed. We’re so awesome that we crashed the neighbors party. Bunch of people from there came over and said that the other party was way lame compared to ours.

I have amazing friends. And we’re badass.

Karma, oh silly Karma.

This weekend was amazing, it started out so horrible, and then turned on a dime. Friday sucked, and Saturday morning was horrible. After work Saturday I picked up Franky and Ver Bruggen, went to my parents house. I ordered my new computer there.

My Windows machine is finally done for, I believe. Fan died, replaced it last year, probably only going to get worse. So I’m buying a Dell PC. I wish I could just build my own, but don’t have the funds. I wanted to use the monthly payment, but my credit isn’t good enough. Needed my parents help on getting it, should arrive on the 19th - 21st.

I had a small shindig last night; well kind of small. Franky, Sarah, Ver Bruggen, Megan, Cory, B-Rangel, Raul, Pierce, Boomer, John, Nick, Ridge, and maybe someone else were over. Franky, Sarah, Bruggen and B Rangel spent the night, so did Boomer. We woke up and got some food from Frank’s diner. It was amazing. Nothing like Super Mario 3 and awesome food.

Ver Bruggen, Franky, Sarah, and I chilled at my place until I worked. Franky had lost his key to his house, so I let them stay here while I was gone. They had no where to go, and his parents were out of town.

Work was nice and slow, but we’d get rushes at the perfect time…never had time drag on.

Got out of work, took everyone home. On my way home I stopped to get some gas. Lo and behold, Najee is at Speedway. He had walked there to get some food for him and his girlfriend. Poor guy had to walk, so I offered him a ride. It’s comical because seconds before I got there, he had put his change in the Save the Cancer Kids jar. Karma? Or luck? We joked with karma.

Fridays are horrible.

So every Friday in January I closed. I normally don’t mind, in fact I don’t care that I did. It just sucks staying that extra hour, as we’re open until 11pm. Today was just like any other Friday - busy. Lent isn’t helping either, we went through wayy too much tuna and crab.

But today we all had to clear out of the apartment’s parking lot 10am thru 3pm. They wanted to clear the parking lot of the snow, so I didn’t mind waking up at 9, when I’ve been waking up normally. Thing is, I left for work at 1:30pm, and all the cars were gone, but there wasn’t anything plowed. Whatever.

I get to work, and they were slow, things were all caught up, but it was still an off day, everyone was just off. Whatever, it happens.

Well four-o-clock rolls around, and we get a call saying Heather has to go to the ER because she might have broke her ankle. Strike one for the day, shit happens, I hope she’s all right. Kenny, Mark, and Andrea were the only people who weren’t working. I knew Mark couldn’t, he was playing a show, and he requested off. Kenny had requested off, and he popped in around 3pm, something about playing basketball. We tried to call anyways, but his phones shut off.

So I call Andrea. I asked if she was busy tonight, and she said “I’m not working tonight.” I figured she thought I’d want her to cover for me, which is what I’d think, too. I told her the situation, and she was like “uhh, okay?” So she was a no-go. That pissed me off. I know if I didn’t do it, I’d catch SO much shit and be on everyone’s bad side.

So Katie ended up working 10am until 8pm. And Neil had to close instead of working until 8pm. The whole time he complained, he whined, he bitched.

We got slammed. We ran out of Chix Teri. We were running low on crab. Closing sucked. Neil’s incompetent.

I’m in a horrible mood.

Tax Rebates (the extra moola) by May?

Tax rebate checks will begin going out in May, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said after the House’s passage of a Senate-approved $167 billion economic stimulus package Thursday.

Well, at least that what CNN is reporting. The bill passed the House and Senate, and is now just needing the Presidents signature.

Here’s some of the specs:

  • $300-600 to individuals making $3,000-$75,000
  • $300 per child
  • $1,200 for couples earning over $150,000

The article says that these checks are an advance on next year’s refunds. So wait, does this mean we won’t be getting refunds next year? They continue to say most (if not all) will be deducted from refunds in 12 months time.

Paulson said the process of sending the checks would be completed by the end of summer.

Real ID - Before it Happens Handguide!

Wisconsin has not decided whether to comply with Real ID, reject it completely, or request an extension to keep its options open. “We’ve not made a final determination regarding next steps for Wisconsin as it relates to Real ID,” said Patrick Fernan, operations manager for the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles. “We have not requested an extension as of yet.”

CNet has an article outlining the different specifications about what is going to happen May 11th when the Real ID act goes into effect. I advise everyone to read this, as it effects your entrance to federal buildings and for flying. Lucky for me, I’ve decided to never fly again, thanks to the TSA.

One Congressman mentioned last year that it could be needed to buy over the counter cold medicines used in making meth.

God Bless the USA. Heh.

Breakfast.

So I woke up to find that I had unplugged my alarm clock in my sleep - how confusing is that? On top of it all, I left my cell phone in my jacket on the couch, so I had to look at the bright computer screen.

I woke up probably twenty minutes ago, took my antibiotics, and made breakfast. I attempted at eggs over easy. I’ve tried to make ‘em a few times, the first egg this morning sucked. But the second one actually looked like it’s supposed to - I didn’t break the yoke. But who cares what it looks like when it still tastes like awesome.

Food, it is here!

So my parents took my grocery shopping today. I’ve got plenty of food, although if you open the fridge it looks empty. Considering I eat at work roughly 5 times a week, and I only eat about two meals a day. I’m set.

I think tomorrow I’m going to spend the morning doing math homework and getting my car out of the parking lot.

Snow Storm.

So that snow storm everyone was talking about, that was going hit all night, didn’t hit at all last night. It started coming down this morning.

Gateway and Parkside were closed, KUSD stayed open. That was a horrible decision. Traffic at Bradford is bad enough - add people being snowed in and not able to drive decent. Psh.

I’m just pissed because I was going to get my meds, but it’s snowing sideways. And I’m hungry.

Blast.
