Crassmas.

So today is Christmas Day. I spent time with family, my mom and dad, and my mom’s side of the family.

I got 10 t-shirts, which doubled my current collection of shirts. I’m pretty pumped because they include: Clit 45, Discharge, Crass, Exploited, Virus, Minor Threat, and other bands. I’ve been way too lazy to ever order them, so it made the perfect gift. My parent’s worried if I’d be upset, or something less extreme than that. I was cheesin’ it hardcore opening up the shirts from their wrappings. I finally have gear sportin’ my favorite bands.

But also I wondered how many families were broken today. How many mom’s and dad’s fought because either one was stuck at work due to a boss, or because of their business ventures trying to create their own way of life. Or how many kids cried to “Santa” wondering why some kids got more presents, and why they got so few - if any. Or..how many people got their gifts and shrugged their shoulders, while people still went without nothing.

Hell, I was one of those kids, if it wasn’t something I completely wanted, I was like “aww why.” But then again, I was a kid. I was ignorant to things, and that’s part of growing up

I really can’t take people.

Well I was just browsin’ the web before I work at 4, just relaxing since there is nothing to do. I stumbled upon this Fark
article and comments.

A German restaurant owner cut three holes in a wall, allowing smokers to smoke outside, while still inside. I doubt the effectiveness is there, but it makes a statement more than anything, showing the business owner doesn’t really agree with the new laws. Not just to make smokers look like an asshat leaning out of a wall.

Well a lot of the comments on Fark dealt with the debate between smoking and not. All smokers know the risk, no one doesn’t. If someone really wanted to quit because of their health, they can, I know people who straight up quit no problem.

I’m sick of people wanting to ban smoking right out, and keep on attacking non-smokers. They make us look like evil people who no respect for others. Hell, I make sure to not smoke near public entrances or near people. When I blow off my smoke and there’s lots of people near by, I send it straight up in the air. Smokers don’t get kicks out of being like “Look, a non-smoker! ATTACK!” Seriously.

One argument was about workers in a smoking environment. They picked the job. They can get a different one. Most people who work at jobs where there is a smoking section smoke themselves. If not, they know the risk. Plenty of jobs have health risks, and the workers know them, and they choose to keep working there.

I just wish government would stay out of the lives of restaurant owners, and smoker lives. If people wanted a smoke free restaurant that bad, they wouldn’t support ones that had smoking. I understand they have the right to enjoy their meal without annoyance, just as smokers do. Instead of banning smoking outright, try to think of some kind on area in the between.

Miraz and Marina Gardens both have separate rooms where smokers go. If they didn’t have those, I am almost certain they’d lose a lot of business. Most people in my age range only eat at George Webb, Miraz, or Marina Gardens because they can smoke there. I’m sure there’s others that go there for those reasons.

Bah I just hate people.

One Foot on the Gas, One in the Grave.

So it’s been a long time, haven’t been blogging for a bit. School’s over, thank god. Still don’t know my grades. I’m, honestly, afraid to see them. School just doesn’t grab my attention as much as it used to, probably because it’s dull now. High school was a daily smack in the face, unlike college. Plus I had aspirations to get the hell out of this town, now my aspirations are focused in Kenosha and at other things.

One week ago NMD Records released Cocytus’s first EP. It’s titled Pestilence, and they sold roughly 40 CDs at the show, they ordered 100. I got screwed over by CompUSA so I could only make that many. I’m hoping by Christmas to have the rest finished. I haven’t had the time to work on pressing them, been working everyday since the show.

I bought the new Streetlight Manifesto CD, which I didn’t know had come out. It’s awesome, just like all their other creations.

The past week has also been full of gifts. We’re too lazy to wrap stuff and wait until Tuesday to give each other our gifts, so it’s been a “got it, give it” type thing.

It’s been a slow start on this new server, I’m about to restore Void and try to keep working on my social networking scripts. Heh, too bad I don’t play video games as much anymore. That’s, surprisingly, what kept me on task and creative.

Pink eye?

Well I woke up this morning with the worst case of pink eye I’ve ever had - that I remember. My right eye is swollen and pink. I swear, it’s got more “eye buggers” and gunk and nasty stuff than a runny nose. Bryce just told me damp water over it once and a while helps clear it up.

Didn’t go to class because I’d just get sent back anyways. Everything is on the computer, so it’d get spread around. Just realized pink eye + IT field = bad news bears.

Car Accident Photos

So, Saturday we were in a car accident. I don’t want to say too much right now because a lot of the insurance things are going through. Last thing I want is some stupid comment to come and bite me in the ass someway.

But here’s some pictures of Matt’s car:

Oi, a Relapse!

Well, here’s the story lately. Luke had to switch me over to his pal Mike’s servers. This happened over the weekend while I was up north. Due to some mismatch of emails, I didn’t get the login information until yesterday.

The site wouldn’ve been up yesterday, but I was in a car accident.

I’m fine, the weekend went well, and I’ll post everything later.

It’s time for bed.
