/infekted

Well, yesterday at 11am my wrist started to hurt, and swell a bit. Sure enough by noon I couldn’t move it at all. I called Boomer and had him take me home.

Around 1:30 or so I walked back to Subway because I was closing, and I was in no shape to. Andrea said she’d come inat 8, so I had to work 4-8.

I left at 7:50, went to the ER, my hand was in bad shape.

Turns out /I have some kind of infection from my surgery last month, and now I’m stuck in a hospital until poassibly monbday.

Dell - Plant a Tree?

I wish just checking out Dell solutions with Ubuntu Linux. I thought, what the hell, picked one and customized it.

At the very end of the options it had an “environment” section. Dell will recycle your computer for free (or six dollars, I forget). Or you can pay six extra dollars and they will plant a tree to combat deforestation. There was also another option to recieve a recycling kit and plant a tree, still six dollars.

Back to School.

These past few days have been nothing but rain, rain, storm, rain. It’s also caused me to lack internet.

School at Gateway started tuesday, which was only a day ago…wow. I’ve been working a lot lately, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, then THursday and Friday.

School is all right, my classes are full of your typical, stereotypical, nerds. The guitarist from Gimme Crack is in two of my classes on Tuesdays/Thursdays. There’s a few other decent people in my classes.

Psychology is pretty badass. My coworker Ken is in it, so is my friend Brandon. Dante, who I haven’t talked to since 8th grade, is in there, and a girl I knew from CD Warehouse.

During a break I got a chance to talk to this girl named Cassandra, I think that was it. Very pretty girl, but she has two kids…made me die inside a little.

I can’t wait for Saturday, first day off in a week. Going to the parents for dinner on Sunday.

I got a raise, getting $8 an hour now, and I think Mark might just get hired after all.

New Look, MySpace?

newmyspace

Just a bit of late night MySpace checking, and I found something nifty. MySpace’s look hasn’t changed at all since I first heard of it about 3 years ago, probably four now. But I did just find this tidbit of eye candy, directly to the left.

Hopefully the cluttered, ugly thing that is named a social networking site (yet some how I just can’t leave…) is sprucing up.

A Few Updates

I reorganized a few things, and added stuff. I switched over to K2 design, much better than K1. Previously “in my words…” or “Writings” were a miss mash, now I’ve put them into Rhapsody where they are divided into year groups. I’ve also added Essays, which has some of my little rants put there.

Should be adjusting the stylesheets soon, and etc. etc.

The Aristocrats?

Courtesy of Eugene, Oregon, there has been a lovely story revolving around a meth dealer and four arrests.

Eugene police narcotics unit had been searching an apartment where a 58-year-old man was dealing meth, while he had a 15-year-old girl lived there.

While the citations were being written, a 34-year-old man walked in asking for a hook up, the dealer, in handcuffs, told him no. The methhead even asked the cops, who were even wearing badges.

Soon after that, another man walked in carrying seven baggies of meth, and was nabbed.

To toss in the ultimate finish, an 18-year-old showed up with a butterfly knife to threaten the meth dealer to stop dealing to his girlfriend.

The Aristocrats!

Lucky For Me

I had Facebook import my blog posts to its own Notes system, going to try and recover as many posts as possible.

Shoot Me.

I’m about to kick myself in the ass, really hard. I was cleaning up all the MySQL databases on my webserver, and behold my stupidity! I deleted my blog! Well, I found a backup from before 2007 even rolled around, god I am pissed at myself.

So, every post from about December 13th to…NOW is gone. So, I guess I’ll be doing more updates now.

Damnit.

Host This!

Well, I’ve officially made myself satisfied with Host This. I’ve put the link on the side of my blog, and plan to advertise it a bit. It’ll be a while before I actually buy a domain for it.
You can upload jpg, png, and gif. When you view the site it shows randomly 5 images that have been uploaded (not always at the moment because there’s so few, and I have a randomizer going). It provides code for HTML and BB Code placement.

Adolph Giuliani

“Freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.”

Those the the exact words from New York’s Governor Giuliani, and also a candidate for the United States Presidency.
Freedom is not, literally, being able to do anything you want, because that would be a break down to society. Freedom is having the right to choose what you want to do, within the moral (not religious morality) boundaries of your being, and society. Laws do not create this morality, they are immoral and imposing upon morality.

Giuliani brought down crime in New York, but with what costs? An extreme zero-tolerance policy. Ferrets were outlawed in New York because of him, c’mon, ferrets?

“The excessive concern you have for ferrets is something you should examine with a therapist.”

A woman on a talk show confronted Giuliani about the ferret ban, and that was his response. That she was sick and sad because she enjoyed the company of a certain animal. Some remember the shooting of Amadou Diallo, the immigrant who police shot 41 rounds at. He was unarmed, reaching for his wallet. There were protests crying police brutality, and Giuliani responded by illegally opening Diallo’s police file and spewing out past offenses, calling him “no alter boy.” (Too bad for Giuliani he actually was, to Giuliani’s church)

This man is ridiculous, if we thought Bush was bad, Giuliani can only be worse.
