Boing Boing: Principal says students can’t keep blogs or MySpace profiles
Catholics attack MySpace and Blogs.
A private, Catholic, school in New Jersey has issued that any student whohas a MySpace or access to any public personal profiles or blogs maybe be subject to suspension.
Most schools just block access at school, but this reaches into the personal sector of students, I am sure to notify EFF about this.
The main reason the school is doing this is to “protect’ their students.
in the world of catholicism, nay, all organized religion, protection and repression often go hand in hand.
when i was a kid my parents put me in a catholic school to protect me from the “bad kids” in public school. i grew up to be what they were afraid of :)
